Holiday Inn Express Wakefield, an IHG Hotel

I was really pleased with the air conditioning in my room, as the weather was very hot and the room remained nice and cool. There was also a small fridge, which is a great addition. There were plenty of plug points to charge my devices, etc., one being right next to the bed. The breakfast offering was plentiful, and the staff were pleasant.

The location is perfect, I wasn't driving, but the location was in a walkable distance from where the National Express dropped me off. The high street and plenty shops, eating places, sightseeing all within walkable distance, no sweat at all. Parking is available if you are driving. You will need to inform them prior. They have a varied breakfast menu, mini fridge in the room, at least my one had, tea coffee facilities, iron and ironing board. The best one for me was the price was pocket friendly.

From walking in the door to leaving, the staff were very friendly and very helpful to suit our needs, breakfast was great, lots to choose from and I noticed that they had a paper bag, so if you wanted to, you could grab something to eat later.

Room and bathroom were a good size and there was a fridge. Staff were all very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was substantial and location was a few mins walk from the main shopping area. We managed to get the last space in the car park but if it had been full the multi storey car park is literally across the road. Although our room was close to the lift and over the main entrance, it was quiet

Really comfortable bed in a spacious room - I had a great night sleep. Great bathroom with a clean and modern finish. The shower was also very roomy and easy to use. Really liked the hair, hand and body wash dispensers too. The thermostat was easy to use and I found that the room retained it's heat well. The included breakfast may be a basic but it was all hot and there was plenty of it.
